The Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise Employees Celebrated the Nations and Nationalities Day. At the presence of Ato Ahmed Tussa, the new Chief Executive Officer of the Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise at the colorful hall in Ethiopian Hotel, the employees of the Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise have celebrated the 6th Nations and Nationalities day with a new light of mitual alliance to strengthen their efforts towards achieving the developmental goals of the nation. The day is celebrated by reminding and revering its significance for it gave the nations and nationalities a constitutional right of equality and unity in diversity. The day has also been an opportunity for the whole employees of the company to renew their commitment and to upgrade their efforts to contribute their best to the success of the countrys Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) and for timely completion of the construction of the Abaydam the country has ventured on. The employees have also expressed their determination to work towards the fulfillment of the nations developmental endeavors in line with the constitution and its various aspects of implementation. A research paper is presented with regard to the constitution of the Federal Democratic & republic of Ethiopia and a discussion is held among the participants raising various enlightening questions. The day has occurred at the time of the re-establishment of the former three companies in sea transport sectors as The Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise and It has also been a forum to create close acquaintances between the top management and the employees of the merging companies in unison. The new chief Executive Officer, Ato Ahmed Tussa, the former minister de eta of the Ministry of Trade and Industry has introduced himself and he explained the plan of the newly redesigned company in the transition period. He has invited also the chief executive officers of the company, Chief Engineer Ato Alemu Ambaye, Ato Ahmed Yasin, and Ato Iyassu Yimam in Shipping, Logistics and Port and Port Terminal sectors respectively. The CEO has explained why the new company is deemed to be necessary and the rationale behind its policy frame work the provision of cost effective and fast services for ever increasing import and export trading of the nation. He briefed that various committees have been formed and are working for the smooth transition of the merging companies in to big firm and he urged the employees to strengthen their efforts for the successes of the nations developmental goal in general and the companys in particular. The 6th Nations Nationalities Day was accompanied by varieties of cultural performances and entertainments at a concert hall in Ethiopian Hotel. |
