The New Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise Management members get acquainted & made working visits

In line with the establishment of the new Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise (ESLSE), merging the former Ethiopian Shipping Lines Sh.Com. Maritime and Transit Services Enterprise and Dry Port Services Enterprise, the company’s new management members have gathered at Ghion Hotel and made acquaintances and they have deliberated up on the major projects of the company. Ato Ahmed Tussa the former minister De eta of Ministry of Trade and Industry has been appointed as a new chief executive officer of the new company. The new appointee has briefed the plan of the newly redesigned company and the nature of the transitional period of the merging of the three companies in to big company. He has also listened the briefs of managers about the status of various projects at hand and future progressive developmental strategies. The discussion began in this way was an opportunity for the CEO to introduce himself and each executive officers has introduced themselves to the committee members. Ato Iyassu Yimam an executive officer appointed in Port and Port. Terminal sector of the new company has briefed up on the status of activities developing in the former shipping company. He talked about the 9 ships that the company planned to buy and about the container depo terminal and maritime training center at Babo Gaya. Ato Ahmed Yasin the executive officer for the logistics Sector of the new company has briefed the various activities of the company at Djibouti port and in the country and the 19th storey building project he is following up, He/has also briefed about the free zone construction project status his sector started. The status of the farmer Dry port Services enterprise has also been briefed by Ato Ewnetu Taye the former manger of the company and commented that the enterprise he led has been established very recently but it has scored wider achievements at Mojo and Semera new dry ports. Together with this he has explained that the development of the import trading in the country has necessitated the construction of, a new container terminal at Mojo and Semera. After this introductory meeting between managers, the Mojo Dry port the Dukem Container Depot and Babo Gaya Maritime Training center has been visited. After the visit, the chief executive officer and the managers have asserted that the visit has given them valuable insights in the current status of the company and its developmental opportunities.
